Summary
This report establishes a new baseline for Nuru Ethiopia’s geographic expansion to new cooperative unions, where farmer-owned cooperatives are beginning programs in mung bean, soybean, and field pea production. Although Nuru Ethiopia has operated for many years, this study marks the first evaluation of newly supported unions and their initial conditions. The report measures yields, modeled incomes, climate-smart agriculture adoption, and cooperative professionalism using SCOPEinsight. These benchmarks form the foundation for future evaluations, enabling comparison with prior regions and tracking progress in productivity, resilience, and sustainability as Nuru Ethiopia scales its impact in the coming years.
